The first FIMCAR workshop took place January 19th in Brussels. In addition to the FIMCAR results presentations concerning recent activities towards frontal impact and compatibility assessment from US and Japan were given.

The purpose of the workshop is to present intermediate FIMCAR results and to discuss them withthe input of the participants in order to define the best way forward. Special workshops sessions are dedicated to the different candidate test procedures in the afternoon. Participants are invited to present their own findings, conclusions and expectations to enhance the FICMAR results to date.
